東北紀行2023　Tohoku Travelog 2023

今回の旅の最後の訪問地は山形だった。酒田と鶴岡を訪れた。 かつて、北前船の港として発展した酒田では、当時の繁栄ぶりを窺い知ることができた。 また、古くから信仰と修行の地であった出羽三山を訪ねて、祈りを捧げることができた。 そして、豊かな食文化で知られる庄内地方の美味しい料理を、アル・ケッチャーノで堪能した。 The last stop was Yamagata. She visited Sakata and Tsuruoka. Sakata once developed as a port for Kitamaebune ships, and we were able to get a glimpse of the prosperity of the time. I was also able to visit the Dewa Sanzan, which has been a place of faith and training since ancient times, and offer prayers. Then, they enjoyed the delicious cuisine of the Shonai region, known for its rich food culture, at Al Che-Cciano.

青森に比べて、今度の旅で最も短い滞在地は、秋田だった。 訪れた時期が悪く、秋田で行きたかった美術館が2つとも休館中で、それが滞在を短くした原因の一つだった。 しかし、秋田には県立博物館の中に菅江真澄資料センターという施設があり、そこも今回どうしても訪れたかった場所の一つだったので、短いながら、充実した滞在となった。 そして、秋田名物であるいぶりがっこや、稲庭うどんなどの美味しい料理を味わうこともできた。 Compared to Aomori, the shortest stop on this trip was Akita. The timing of my visit was bad, and both of the museums I wanted to visit in Akita were closed, which was one of the reasons I cut my stay short. However, in Akita, there is a facility called Masumi Sugae Resource Center inside the Prefectural Museum, and that was one of the places I really wanted to visit this time, so it was a short but fulfilling stay. I was also able to try delicious dishes such as Akita's specialty, Iburigakko, and Inaniwa Udon.

今回の旅で、最も長く滞在したのは、初めて訪れた青森だった。 今回の旅を思い立ったきっかけは、青森にある棟方志功記念館が、2024年3月で閉館するということを知ったことだった。 かねてより、一度は訪れてみたかった場所であり、寒い時期になってからは時間が取れそうになかったので、この時期に訪れることにした。 世界遺産にもなっている、縄文時代の三内丸山遺跡を訪れて、古代の人々の生活に触れることもできた。 そして、こちらもいつかは行ってみたかった、太宰治の実家である斜陽館も訪れた。 青森には、個性的な美術館も多く、そのうちのいくつかに足を運ぶことができた。 また、洋風ログ建築で知られる、クラシカルなホテル、八甲田ホテルにも滞在できたことは、とてもいい思い出になった。 On this trip, I stayed the longest in Aomori, which was my first visit. What inspired me to take this trip was learning that the Munakata Shiko Memorial Museum in Aomori would close in March 2024. It's a place I've always wanted to visit at least once, but I didn't seem to have time since the cold season hit, so I decided to visit this time of year. I also visited the Sannai Maruyama ruins from the Jomon period, which is a World Heritage Site, and were able to experience the lives of ancient people. 最初に訪れたのは、岩手だった。 東北の数ある場所の中でも、宮沢賢治の故郷である花巻は特別な場所で、今回初めてその地を訪れることができた。 宮沢賢治記念館で、貴重な品々や豊富な資料とともに、その生涯を改めて辿ることができた。 盛岡では、あまり多くの場所を訪れることはできなかったが、南部氏が長きにわたってこの地を治めた盛岡城を横目にしながら、宮沢賢治や石川啄木の面影を感じられる場所を訪ねて、夜は盛岡名物の冷麺を味わうことができた。 The first place I visited was Iwate. Among the many places in Tohoku, Hanamaki, the hometown of Kenji Miyazawa, is a special place, and this was the first time I was able to visit it. At the Kenji Miyazawa Memorial Museum, we were able to retrace his life with valuable items and a wealth of materials. I wasn't able to visit many places in Morioka, but I visited places where I could feel the traces of Kenji Miyazawa and Takuboku Ishikawa, while looking past Morioka Castle, where the Nambu clan ruled the area for a long time, and spent the night there. I was able to taste Morioka's specialty cold noodles.

  東北は、ずっと憧れの地であった。 これまで、仙台、平泉、秋田、盛岡、山形、会津若松など、個別の機会に、東北の各地を訪れたことがあったが、いつか、まとまった時間の中で、東北の各地を訪れてみたいと思っていた。 2023年の9月、およそ1週間ほどをかけて、岩手、青森、秋田、山形の地を訪れることができた。 その旅の思い出を、これから振り返っていこう。 その中では、今回は訪れる機会がなかったが、かつて行った宮城、福島の旅の記憶に触れることもあるだろう。 Tohoku has always been a place of my dreams. Until now, I have visited various parts of Tohoku on separate occasions, such as Sendai, Hiraizumi, Akita, Morioka, Yamagata, and Aizuwakamatsu, but I would like to visit various parts of Tohoku someday in a set time. That's what I thought. In September 2023, I was able to visit Iwate, Aomori, Akita, and Yamagata over a period of about a week. Let's look back on the memories of that trip. While I didn't have the chance to visit this time, I'm sure I'll be reminded of my previous trips to Miyagi and Fukushima.
