  盛岡を言えば、冷麺が有名だ。 昭和29年創業の、盛岡冷麺の発祥のお店、食堂園を訪れた。 ツルツルの麺、酸味の効いたさっぱりとして汁。美味しい、という言葉だけで十分だ。 Morioka is famous for its hiyashi noodles. I visited Shokudoen, the restaurant that first created Morioka hiyashi noodles, founded in 1954. Smooth noodles and a refreshing broth with a hint of sourness. Delicious is the only word that describes it. 冷麺が有名な店だが、本来は焼肉の店だろう。国産和牛のカルビも勿論美味だった。 This restaurant is famous for its cold noodles, but it is actually a yakiniku restaurant. The Japanese beef ribs were also delicious. 国際コンクールで賞を取ったこともあるという、盛岡のベアレンビール。 盛岡駅の近くや、市内をあるている際に、宣伝やポスターで目にしていたので、気になっていた。 冷麺と合わせて、そのスッキリとした味わいを堪能することができた。 Baeren Beer from Morioka has won awards at international competitions. I had seen advertisements and posters for the beer near Morioka Station and while walking around the city, so I had been curious about it. I enjoyed the refreshing taste of the beer, paired with the hiyashi noodles.

  盛岡城から中津川を越えて、最初の道を右に曲がりしばらく進むと、もりおか啄木・賢治青春館がある。 From Morioka Castle, cross the Nakatsugawa River, turn right at the first road and continue straight for a while until you reach the Morioka Takuboku and Kenji Youth Museum. 旧第九十銀行本店本館の建物の中にあり、来場者は、自然とノスタルジックな雰囲気に包まれる。 この建物に限らず、明治、大正、昭和初期に建てられた旧銀行の建物は、現在のとは違った、独特な空間感覚が感じられる。 時代ということもあるが、その時代の銀行という存在の在り方にも関係しているのだろう。 Located in the former 90th Bank Head Office Main Building, visitors are naturally enveloped in a nostalgic atmosphere. This is not just limited to this building, but all old bank buildings built during the Meiji, Taisho, and early Showa periods have a unique sense of space that is different from today's. This may be due to the era, but it may also be related to the way banks existed in those times. 石川啄木や宮沢賢治が、この盛岡で暮らしていた頃の、盛岡の町の様子がジオラマで再現されていた。 啄木や賢治が、そうした通りを歩きながら、どんな風景を目にし、どんなことを考えていたのか、想像が刺激される。 A diorama recreates what Morioka looked like when Ishikawa Takuboku and Miyazawa Kenji lived here.
