光原社と宮沢賢治の余韻　Kogensya and Echoes of Kenji Miyazawa



花巻から盛岡に戻って来た。まだ、宮沢賢治の余韻が残っている。

ホテルに近くにある、宮沢賢治ゆかりの光原社を訪れた。

ちょうど、光原社のある材木町の商店街では秋祭りが行われて、多くの出店が出ており、人々で賑わっていた。

I returned to Morioka from Hanamaki. The memory of Miyazawa Kenji still lingers in my mind.

I visited the Mitsuharasha Shrine, which is close to the hotel and has a connection to Miyazawa Kenji.

The autumn festival was happening at the Zaimokucho shopping arcade where the Mitsuharasha Shrine is located, and there were many stalls set up and the place was bustling with people.





宮沢賢治は、大正13年に自費出版で『心象スケッチ　春と修羅』を出版した。

本は全く売れなかったが、ダダイストとして知られ、女性解放運動の伊藤野枝の夫でもある辻潤からは高く評価された。

ダダイズムに傾倒していた中原中也もこの本に夢中になったという。

Miyazawa Kenji self-published "Sketches of the Mind: Spring and Ashura" in 1924.

The book didn't sell at all, but it was highly praised by Tsuji Jun, a known Dadaist and husband of women's liberation activist Ito Noe.

Nakahara Chūya, who was devoted to Dadaism, is also said to have become fascinated with the book.






その同じ年、今度は童話集『イーハトヴ童話　注文の多い料理店』を出版した。

これは、賢治の盛岡高等農林学校の後輩だった近森善一と及川四郎が、賢治の元を尋ねた際に元となる原稿を見せられたのがきっかけだった。

二人は、農業用のパンフレットを出版する事業を行っていたが、この本は東京の印刷所に頼んで印刷してもらい、賢治のアイデアをもとに、出版元を”東京光原社”として出版した。

この本もさっぱり売れず、賢治が自ら200冊を買い取った。

That same year, he published another collection of fairy tales, "Ihatov Children's Tales: The Restaurant of Many Orders."

The opportunity came when Chikamori Zenichi and Oikawa Shiro, who were Kenji's juniors at Morioka Agricultural and Forestry College, visited Kenji and were shown the original manuscript.

The two were running a business publishing agricultural pamphlets, and had this book printed by a printing company in Tokyo, and, based on Kenji's idea, published it under the name "Tokyo Kogensha."

This book also didn't sell at all, so Kenji himself bought up 200 copies.





”光原社”は、その後、南部鉄器の高橋萬治、民藝の柳宗悦、版画家の棟方志功らとの縁ができて、現在では民芸品を販売したり、カフェなどを経営したりしている。

店内を見回っていたら、宮沢賢治記念館で目にした、有名な詩、”雨ニモマケズ”が書かれた賢治の手帳を、忠実に再現した手帳が売られていた。

購買意欲が刺激されたが、思い出のままで留めることにした。

Mitsuharasha later built connections with Takahashi Manji of Nambu ironware, folk art artist Yanagi Muneyoshi, and printmaker Munakata Shiko, and now sells folk crafts and runs a cafe.

Looking around the store, I came across a faithful reproduction of the notebook in which Miyazawa Kenji wrote his famous poem, "Ame ni mo Makezu," which I had seen at the Miyazawa Kenji Memorial Museum.

My desire to buy was stimulated, but I decided to keep it as a memory.

青森に着いた翌日、バスでその日の宿となる八甲田ホテルへ向かった。 青森駅商工会議所前から、無料の送迎バスが出ていて。およそ70分ほどかけて、八甲田さんの山道を通りながら、ホテルに到着した。 チェックインを済ませてから、まずは、ホテルの隣にある、酸ヶ湯温泉へ向かった。 巨大なヒバ千人風呂で知られる温泉だが、宿初施設もお食事処、みやげもの屋などもある、巨大なレジャー施設だ。 混浴の千人風呂の他にも、男女ごとに分かれた玉の湯があり、そちらに入った。 こちらはとても小さな湯どので、何人かがすでに入っていたが、誰も一言も喋ることもなく、まるで修行のように、ひたすら温泉に浸かっていた。 酸ヶ湯温泉の泉質は酸性硫黄泉で、白濁しており、湯に入ると体にピリピリとした感触があり、いかにも効用のある温泉といった感覚だった。 青森出身の彫刻家、棟方志功もこの温泉が好きでよく訪れてい他という。 棟方志功が、雄大な八甲田さんを、独特のタッチで描いた美しい”倭画”も展示されていた。 The day after arriving in Aomori, I took a bus to my lodgings at the Hakkoda Hotel. ホテルJALシティ青森　Hotel JAL City Aomori

青森での１泊目は、ホテルJALシティ青森に滞在した。 ねぶた祭りが行われる八甲通り沿いにあり、その時期にはかなり前から予約でいっぱいになるホテルだという。 For my first night in Aomori, I stayed at Hotel JAL City Aomori. The hotel is located along Hakko Street, where the Nebuta Festival is held, and apparently it gets fully booked well in advance during that time. 部屋からは、海の方が見渡せた。 右側に見える三角の施設は、アスパムという青森物産館で、青森の特産品の売店や飲食店が入っており、イベントなどもよく開催されるのだという。 残念ながら、今回は訪れることができなかった。 From my room, I could see the ocean. The triangular facility you can see on the right is Aspam, the Aomori Products Center, which houses shops selling Aomori specialties and restaurants, and where events are often held. UGUISUで青森のお酒と料理を堪能　Enjoy Aomori cuisine and alcohol at UGUISU

  青森、初日の夜は、JR青森駅から伸びる新町通り沿いにある、UGUISUというお店で、青森のお酒と料理を堪能した。 田酒、八仙など、東京でもよく知られるお酒の他にも、青森には多くの銘酒がある。 しかし、この旅行を終えてから酒店に行って気がついたのだが、東京の酒店では、青森の日本酒をあまり置いていないように感じた。 このお店では、六種飲み比べのメニューがあったので、いろいろな青森の日本酒を楽しむことができた。 料理は、お造り盛り合わせ、青森県産ホタテの貝焼き味噌、金木産霜降り馬刺し、青森県産桜姫鶏の塩唐揚げ、おばんざい 盛り合わせ、など。 豊かな青森の食文化を、美味しい日本酒と共に、思う存分、味わうことができた夜だった。 On the first night in Aomori, I enjoyed Aomori sake and food at a restaurant called UGUISU along Shinmachi Street, which stretches from JR Aomori Station.
