ホテルJALシティ青森 Hotel JAL City Aomori

青森での１泊目は、ホテルJALシティ青森に滞在した。

ねぶた祭りが行われる八甲通り沿いにあり、その時期にはかなり前から予約でいっぱいになるホテルだという。

For my first night in Aomori, I stayed at Hotel JAL City Aomori.

The hotel is located along Hakko Street, where the Nebuta Festival is held, and apparently it gets fully booked well in advance during that time.

部屋からは、海の方が見渡せた。

右側に見える三角の施設は、アスパムという青森物産館で、青森の特産品の売店や飲食店が入っており、イベントなどもよく開催されるのだという。

残念ながら、今回は訪れることができなかった。

From my room, I could see the ocean.

The triangular facility you can see on the right is Aspam, the Aomori Products Center, which houses shops selling Aomori specialties and restaurants, and where events are often held.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to visit this time.

朝食は、ブッフェ。

盛岡のアートホテルでもそうだったが、このホテルJALシティ青森でも、地元の食材を使った郷土料理の、美味しいブッフェを味わうことができた。

カレーも、今ではどのホテルでも定番になっているメニューの一つ。

この日は、青森産りんごを使った、甘辛い豚肉のカレーが用意されていた。

Breakfast was a buffet.

As was the case at the Art Hotel in Morioka, Hotel JAL City Aomori also offered a delicious buffet of regional cuisine made with local ingredients.

Curry is also a standard menu item at most hotels these days.

On the day we were served a sweet and spicy pork curry made with Aomori apples.
