十和田市現代美術館② Towada Art Center Part-2

塩田千春は、十和田湖畔にあった1代の古い小舟を小さな展示室に置いた。その船の中か無数の赤い糸が伸びて、展示室を覆っている。

塩田のことを知ったのは、ヴェネツィア・ビエンナーレでの展示が世界的に評価された、というニュースを見た時だった。

過激な作品で知られるマリーナ・アブラモビッチに師事していたというが、その後に師事したレベッカ・ホーンの方が、現在の作品には直接の影響を与えているようだ。

その作品を一目見ただけで、圧倒的な印象を与えることのできるアーティストの一人だ。

Shiota Chiharu placed an old boat that once lived on the shores of Lake Towada in a small exhibition room. Countless red threads stretch from inside the boat, covering the exhibition room.

I first learned about Shiota when I saw the news that her exhibition at the Venice Biennale had been highly acclaimed worldwide.

She studied under Marina Abramovic, who is known for her radical works, but it seems that her later student, Rebecca Horn, has had a more direct influence on her current work.

She is one of those artists whose work can make an overwhelming impression at first glance.

Ana Laura Alaez was born in Bilbao, Spain, and is Basque.

As a woman and a Basque, she built a "bridge of light" from inside the museum to the outside.

ソウル生まれのソ・ドホの”コース・アンド・エフェクト”は、インパクトが抜群。

近づいてよくみると、小さな人の形をしたオブジェが連なって構成されていることがわかる。

人々の世代を超えた繋がりが、現在の出来事の背景にあることを表現しているという。

韓国出身アーティストの国民性が表れているように思えた。
